Lighthouse helps clients tackle the building and sourcing challenges that inevitably arise from home renovations, and endeavour to make the entire experience enjoyable rather than stressful.
Initial Consultation
The initial consultation is free and usually done on site. You can discuss your requirements and exchange initial ideas at this stage.
Proposal
Lighthouse will then provide a proposed scope of work, including the process and the estimated amount of time required to meet the client’s objectives. Once a proposal is agreed, Lighthouse will manage the actual hours against the proposal, updating the client on a regular basis (usually every 2 weeks).
We are normally invited to meet clients at the planning stage to make suggestions for the best use of the available space.
Storyboards
We create storyboards for each project as a visual reference to help the client with colour stories, fabrics, design direction, and furniture.
Shopping & Sourcing
We can help you source all your fixtures, fittings, floor coverings, tiles, kitchens, bathrooms, and wall coverings. If you need it, we can accompany you in your shopping, helping you to make the most informed purchases for your home.
Support
Lighthouse provides support throughout the process, making regular site visits to check on the renovation progress, meet with builders, and keep you updated.
Lighthouse was founded by designer and decorator; Sally Lyon, in February 2007. Her goal is to help people achieve the kind of home they have dreamed of having while living in the Netherlands.
Sally has over 10 years experience in designing and renovating interior homes and workspaces in Amsterdam. She has experience working with Dutch and expatriate clients, and can speak Dutch and English. She has a strong understanding of the typical pitfalls, which are common in renovations.
Sally is skilled at being able to articulate what the client wants and helps to make it a reality. She has a passion for people and works with total commitment to each client and each project.
